Donate in memory

A donation to the National Theatre is a wonderful way to remember a loved one who may have enjoyed many happy times at the theatre. Your gift will support our major redevelopment project, NT Future, which will transform and enrich the experiences of everyone who visits and works in our theatres.

We have the following giving opportunities available, which will allow you to pay tribute to your loved one and remember them in a special and lasting way.

£1,000 – We will engrave a paving stone on the Weston Terrace in memory of your loved one.

£5,000 – We will name a seat in the new Dorfman Theatre* in memory of your loved one.

Seats and paving stones will bear the name of your loved one for at least 15 years. We will be able to include the text ‘in memory of’ on seats and paving stones and we will also acknowledge all gifts of £1,000 and above with a certificate containing details of your gift.

For enquiries about the NT Future Supporters Mural, please contact the Development Department on 0207 452 3916.

If you would like to talk to a member of our team about donating in memory or leaving a gift to the National Theatre in your Will, please contact Tamara Wijesekara on 020 7452 3915 or email

* Due to the flexible nature of the Dorfman auditorium, seats will not always be in the same place and some seats will not always be used for every performance. You are welcome to name a seat in the Pit, Circle or Gallery.
